Cannot Edit Volume?

OK, best way to explain this is: Anytime I use any of the tools, Unity deselects the PicaVoxel Volume gameobject and selects the chunk that is being edited.

I even attempt to click and drag, it will deselect the gameobject. Basically, all I can do is have a cube, which I cannot colour or edit.

Yeah, that's not right. As long as you've clicked on "Start Editing" and have the toolbox in scene view, the tools should be working.

Which Unity editor version?

Windows or Mac?

Are you using something other than a mouse as your input device?

Have you tried in a completely blank project (wondering if another plugin might be interfering)?

Any errors in the Unity console?

Unity editor version: 5.2.0b803 (This I use for 2D Tool purposes) Version 5.3.0b4 (With no 2D tools it seems to work on. So something in Unity's code must have done something maybe?)

OS: Windows

Input Device: Mouse only

Blank Project: Even on completely blank. (Have Photon Networking with the other)

Errors in Unity Console: Only the shader issue (Just changed the shader on the material to get rid of that message)

Interesting - so is that the open source 2D tools that are going to be built in in future? I'm guessing that there's an editor extension in those tools that is intercepting or generally interfering with the raycasting/clicking I am doing for the PicaVoxel editing tools.

Would be good to know how you get set up for the 2D tools work so I can maybe fire up a VM and reproduce in case it ends up being broken when they roll the tools into the editor.

So, it is the stuff mentioned here that I use: Early Access to New 2D Tools these haven't been added officially yet but they are great for 2D games.

You can download from this page: Unity's BitBucket for these tools. and selecting either the Windows or OSX: Download. There isn't documentation for it so it will require having to look at the code itself to see what is happening. I have a feeling that Picavoxel's editing might be trying to do something with the tilemap editing. Which wouldn't make much sense either way.

When these tools are officially released and there is conflicting issues with those tools specifically, it is best to find out now. As Picavoxel is likely only really going to be used in a 3D environment it is really strange that something that only works in a 2D environment is interfering.
